You're feeling offended? ppl just tried to help you by telling the truth.
If you're easily offended by the truth, better stop reading now because there's one more truth i'd like to add.

There are hundreds of these "ideas guys" out there in the web looking for members for their mod because they have "such great ideas" but won't tell anyone because they're affraid someone could steel their ideas.

To even attract a few ppl, you'll have to show off something more then just the announcment: "hey guys i have a great mod idea".

If your ideas are really that great, you should write them down and build up a "Game Design Document".

Ofc. it would be very helpfull if you'd know something about the process of making games and mods and have some basic understanding of the game engines so you can pick the most suitable for your needs.

It's starting with such simple things like posting the requirements for an open job in your mod team.
If you're working with source, you need to know that e.g. the 3D modellers should preferably use XSI, Maya or 3dsMax to be able to export everything to Source, and that other programms such as Blender are suitable only for static and physic props because of the lack of animation export. (so it would be ok for a prop modeller, but not a weapon-/character-modeller or animator).


Belive me i know what i'm talking about.
I've been at least 2 years here in the GES dev team before i acidentally became co-leader of another mod.
Even though i had previouse experience in modding and know how to create and export models and materials to source and have some mapping skills too, it's quite a very difficult thing to manage all the stuff neccessary to be able to work with your team and ensure everything runs smoothly.

As for your attitude i'd like to tell you one thing.
If someone takes the time to write a long text, you shouldn't act like a 12 year old child which didn't get what it wants.
Everyone who posted here used some of his free time to write up the text.
There are good answeres and suggestions, no reason to be mad at anyone.
