Hype doesn't make a game good. There's no aspect of Duke Nukem that hasn't already been done better by some other game since the original. Standards have gone up, and sometimes even if you try to improve every aspect of a formula that worked 15 years ago, today it will most likely collapse like a house of cards.
Not that I don't wish it all the success it deserves after such a long and painful development, but I'm yet to see anything unique or revolutionary being brought to the table. I feel it will be to Duke Nukem what Doom 3 was to Doom.
