Steam Connection Problem

Hi all I have a problem with my Steam account. I contact Steam but they are too stupid
me to answer me. So I hope you could help me. When I want to connect to my
steam account through a window and said:

"Could not connect to Steam network. This Could Be
due to a problem with your Internet connection, or with the Steam network. Please visit
www.steampowered.com for more info."
--- End code ---

My connection works I even try to disable my
fire wall, reinstall steam and it's still not :(

Try deleting clientregistry.blob and AppUpdateStats.blob, both are located in the main Steam folder and will force steam to update, if it doesn't work its probably just a Steam problem.

This could be a million different things. Is there a way he can ping a steam server to see if the problem is local.... that would be mighty useful
