Sean [Baron]:
Yeah, Don't send your hard drive, it's not hard to forget because it's printed in big letters on the instructions not to do so. If you did you wouldn't get it back. As far as if you would get your console back, not likely. So far from the consoles I have sent in I've always gotten a new one, and by that I mean one with a new Serial Number, Manufacture Date, etc. I don't know that it's actually "new" or just refurbished, probably the latter.
It's just easier to send out a new one then to fix the old one, plus it takes longer.

mines been gone for 2.5 weeks, how long does it take them to send you one back :(
Sean [Baron]:
Well, I'm not sure since your in another country. But I got mine back within 7 days, but I also lived 30 or so miles from the repair center.

well got my 360 back yesterday, after nearly 4weeks, they sent me a brand new one tho, which is cool, but annoying cos iv gotta register all my XBLA games again, and all the D/C again! arrghh,,. i just hope this new 360 holds up and doesnt die on me :-\
Mike [fourtecks]:
ha. One reason why I haven't bought one yet. I was just about to, but everyone's keeps dying. So until I hear some news that they fixed the problem pretty much, then I will wait a couple weeks then get one.
