[SOLVED] [ISSUE] Python game play manager fails, can't play

(1/2) > >>

Teikoko:
Upon attempting to create a server, I get the following error (also shown in the attached image file):

File:  .\ges\server\py\ge_pygameplay.cpp
Line:  404
Asset: Failed to load python game play manager!

When I attempt to debug, hl2.exe crashes.

I do not yet know if this happens when joining a server as the server list comes up empty every time I click "Find Servers", refreshing doesn't help either.

My system specs:
Intel Core 2 6600 @ 2.40 GHz
4 GB RAM
nVidia GeForce 8500 GT (1 GB)
Windows Vista Ultimate, Service Pack 2, 32-bit

T_T Please help me!  T_T

(Edit: I wanted to show you what portion it was loading when this error occurred, but something untoward happened... So I included another screenshot fyi. I think it was on "Loading resources" but I'm not sure. Hope that helps some!)

Teikoko:
One more thing, I'm using beta 04. Forgot to mention that :P

Hey man, I am not the expert at this kind of stuff, but have you tried reinstalling goldeneye source? You do have source sdk base - orange box installed right? Are you able to run other half life 2 mods? Is this the first time this has crashed for you? Were you playing in game before this or was this the first thing you have done with the mod?

killermonkey:
You'll have to reinstall.

Teikoko:
I have never been able to play this game before; the error always occurs; I have both SDK Base releases (Orange Box and 2007); and I have no trouble playing other mods.

I will re-install from the original exe I downloaded. I hope this works...

*crosses fingers and toes*

If not I will download a new copy, perhaps the zip this time, and hope that fixes it.
