Starting server and whats up with the knife?

1. Ok first of, How do i start a server with my custom weapon sets and custom game modes? Is it possible from within the game? or must this be done via a dedicated server?

2. When i play on servers online i always spawn with only a Knife, whats up with that? In the original n64 game you always begin with a gun. Is it possible to change this?
Starting with a knife just creates more spawn kills, i cant see why people want this?

Put your commands to run on server start in listenserver.cfg

Change ge_startarmed to define what you spawn with. Last time I checked on N64 you spawn with nothing (slapper).

0 = slapper
1 = knife
2 = knife, weapon
3 = slapper, weapon

Thanks! Found the listenserver.cfg so i just add the commands for custom weapon set and custom gamemode to that file.. and then when i start a new server from within the game it will have these settings?

Where can i find the commands for the different modes?

Regarding the knife.. you where right, my bad.

I believe listenserver.cfg is a file that will be executed on every map change on a listen server (i.e. non-dedicated). If you want to run some stuff just once, add it to valve.rc (or add exec autoexec to valve.rc, and make an autoexec.cfg).

Once you spawn a server you can type ge_gameplaylist to get a list of possible values for ge_gameplay. Same for ge_weaponsetlist and ge_weaponset.

yes, default is 0 for me too, so I want to spawn with a weapon, I need to change ge_startarmed 2 or 3, right ?
