Hey, not sure where to post this, but I think it would be a better sound for the DD44.  I made this with audacity and Native Instruments.

Super quiet and really distorted. It sounds kinda like a baseball bat hitting sheet metal.

I think the N64 sound was higher fidelity then that.

Sounds like no gun I've ever heard, sounds like a ball being dropped onto sheet metal.

Too bad I didn't have a damn Ballistics room and good recording equipment...I got an arsenal including and AK and .44 magnum...
