I noticed when an achievement pops up and the music plays the game sound is barely audible.  Is this normal?

Explosions
Seem a tad overpowering, its the only thing I can hear when one goes off in the distance and when 2 or more explosions happen at the same time he sound is distorted.

The explosions are as close as possible to the 64, I tried to rush through one of them and I felt like I was playing the 64 on 00 Agent mode.
