Cant see new "Rolling Explosions"

as it says in the ol' subject line up there, I am having trouble seeing the new rolling explosions, it justs looks like the default HL2 explosions.

What OS, PC Specs, DX version, graphic settings etc. are you running at?

AMD Athlon XP 3000+ 2.17 GHz 1.00 Gig Ram
Nvidia Geforce4 MX 420

Holy crap man you are running an OLDDD rig. Upgrade ASAP

pretty sure it has to do with your dxlevel not being set right, which is probably because your computer cant handle higher then what you are at.
