Which controller is best for the game?
« on: January 30, 2010, 10:07:46 pm »

Which controller is best for this game...or does it matter?  The store sells a classic D-type and an analog.  I also saw somewhere on the sight an N64 pad with an adaptor would work.  And--since you have villains from many of the different Bond movies...how about different Bonds?  I vote for Daniel Craig!

Do yourself a favor and use the mouse and keyboard; you'll get raped if you use a controller online. Plus, Source doesn't support most controllers with the exception of some very basic Xbox 360 controller support (haven't gotten it working myself though).

Those villains were in Goldeneye 64 too.

In fact if I recall actually there were actually different bonds in the beta version of Goldeneye... Sean Connery, Roger Moore and Timothy Dalton. My memory is fuzzy as to if they were in the final game or not.

Its a future possibility, but the team have a hell of a lot of other characters to make which will take priority over alternative Bonds. There are still 24 unreleased characters that were originally available for multiplayer.

As for the controller... Mouse & keyboard is superior to all others for first person shooters. But from what I understand it is possible to connect up N64 controllers with an adapter, but it's unlikely to handle much the same.

The other Bonds can be accessed in GE007 via Gameshark.
