[BUG] Top Hat Misplacement
« on: September 08, 2009, 04:58:21 am »

Although a problem similar to this was found in the following thread http://forums.goldeneyesource.net/index.php/topic,2910.0.html and fixed in the 3.1 patch released last March...I found a very different condition in the current game version where this could happen.  As I was spectating in the "free floating" camera mode one day, I was moving backwards as I was picking my Samedi character to join the game.  Upon joining, I saw that Samedi's hat was not where it was supposed to be....

Important to mention also is that the hat was in sync with every movement I made, except for sliding a little in the opposite direction I was strafing towards, as can be seen in the second screenshot.

Ill have to give that a test. Seems the hat got applied to the character in the wrong spot or a bone in an animation is fucked.

EDIT: I can only repeat this when it is on YOLT after countless attempts.  I'm not sure why.  My perception is that the spectator camera speeds are faster on that game mode for some reason, regardless of what server you're on, and may be a contributing factor to the misapplication of the hat.

Here's a video, courtesy of ZIMdudeAlchemist, that shows the top hat floating after a round ending.  Time 2:32
