Questions about awards.
« on: March 23, 2009, 02:54:27 am »

1. Does a auto-balance end a inning?

2. How is accuracy measured with mines? Everytime I win the round with remote mines I get marksmanship.

1. NO, auto balance does not effect innings because you are force respawned, not killed

2. Mines don't affect accuracy at all, you are neither recorded as shooting nor hitting. However, if the rest of the players are using shot weapons we can make an assumption that their marksmanship scores have gone quite negative and you, having only used mines, have remained at 0. Thus, you will win the marksmanship award.

3. (My addition) Awards aren't meant to be perfect

That should be easy to fix, really.  When a player throws a mine, consider it a miss, and when a player's mine explodes, if it does damage, give the miss credit back and then add hit credit.  UFO spam will drive marksman down, and skilled use will bring it up.
