The Elder Scrolls III - Morrowind
« on: March 11, 2009, 10:05:20 pm »

The game Oblivion players should have played before they step into one of the best games out there, but also one of the overrated ones too. I can say it openly: Morrowind IS better than Oblivion. This is my opinion. I have played both and counted many hours on each one.

I want to know your opinion about it; what you think about Oblivion's predecessor. If Bethesda took a step in the right or wrong way after releasing Morrowind.

Keep in mind this is an opinionated thread; don't flame people for their opinions. Respect them. I say this because many times opinion threads escalate into a flame-fest, which is something nobody likes. Please keep this clean.

I like to encourage discussion outside of the GES world to see people's opinion about varied subjects. Not that I'm making a statistic study hehe, but I like to know what other people think about subjects I have an opinion of.

I liked Oblivion, but after searching for the 500th time to find Bat Testicles to cure my vampirism it got really really annoying... I never finished the game btw.. it sits there staring at me

TES 3 was a great game.  It wasn't finished, but still great.  By being great, the problems it has glow brightly, like ability-overflow errors and GUI stupidity.

Oblivion was a sequel to Goldeneye, Deus Ex, and Thief 2, by being another installment of the Great Game Number++: Shitty because we sacrificed game quality to try to work on a console system series.  For all these games, the sequels happily addressed the great problems with the great original game, but the overall gameplay took a dive.

Those of you who have been playing Goldeneye Forum User long enough recall I used to use my Morrowind dood as my avatar.

Yes, it wasn't finished; some annoying bugs still mar Morrowind, but most of them are now fixed by numerous community-made patches.

Even though, I still play it, on Vanilla form. I played it with numerous mods, but I decided to get back to the roots.

Shit that was funny. I never became a vampire in OB, so I didn't need to look for the Bat testicles.

I have it (Morrowind) on my Steam games and it splits my gaming time in half with GE:S. I only keep great games on the Steam list.
