Sound effects and music.

I made a username here just so I could say this. Goldeneye 64 was my favorite game back in the day. Me and 3 friends spent the better part of 2 years gathering almost every day to play the game into the wee hours of the morning, and loved every minute of it. After all that, the one thing that has always stuck in my head the most were the catchy, Bond-like tunes, and the sound effects. You guys have absolutely nailed most of the sound effects, but what you've done with the music...it's almost a transcendent experience. You have taken these themes that I will always be familiar with and masterfully remade them. I love every single one of them, and I listen to them just for fun. They invoke a sense of nostalgia, whilst offering up something new for my listening enjoyment. Well done.

<- Grammar Nazi Approves. Lavish choice of words you have there.
I agree with you of course, Seeing as they could not use any original sounds and had to re-create them.

First of all, welcome to the forums. Hope you like your stay here!
Thank you for praising the music; it is really well done.
You might want to wait for the "music and sound department" to post here and thank you for saying it is a nice work.
One thing: since you joined the forum, stick around and post on the other topics. Who knows i your suggestions will come in handy.
I can also say, as you might notice, that the current build of GE:S is not the final release, so there will be needed a lot of feedback from the community in order to really polish it up for the final one and a lot of community contribution with ideas and things like those.
BTW, I'm not one of the moderators nor part of the dev team; I'm just a GoldenEye fan like you and most people here who really want this project to move forward. I too still have my copy of GE007 and still play it with friends.
EDIT: Damn Sp1nn3y, you beat me to it. Me and my habit of making welcome wall-texts. :D

Being something of a Grammar Nazi myself, I always try to one up my last post by introducing something new. And let me tell you, when I screw up and misspell something, it's like I've slapped myself in the face.
PPK:
Is this a grammar Nazi's thread? 'Cause I'm one myself too. I'm always on the lookout for any errors I might have committed, even on my older posts; when I see one, I edit the crap out of him 'till it's correct. ;)
