i use dx 7.. it helps.. a-LOT... and i agree... if im not using it... my 8fps will force me to do unspeakable things... like the Q word..

Sp1nn3y, what's your graphics card? because I got much more than 8 FPS on my old Radeon 9550.

I get a solid 300fps when idle with max settings on ges (1440x900)

I should have underlined old, or probably I didn't explain myself correctly (most likely the latter). I had a Radeon 9550, now I have a Radeon X1600 Pro (old too, but way better than the previous one). I'm gathering money to buy a rig that will blow my power supply. I'm talking about a GeForce 295 and stuff like that, but guess that when I have the dough needed for it, it will be outdated... hehe
