Goldeneye source not offered by steam?
smood:
I was just wondering why goldeneye source is not offered by steam? It would help me immensely because my connection is not that great so downloading a 500 meg file from filefront is probably all but impossible.
Thanks!

No man, it is not offered by Steam. By the way, where are you from? There are other mirrors besides FileFront. A list of the available ones can be found on the following URL:

Go ahead and pick the one closest to you. Hope this helped!
And btw, welcome to the forums!
Konrad Beerbaum:
Valve has to select a mod to be offered by Steam.

steam cant host us because Goldeneye is not our IP and we dont own the rights to distribute it. so we have to go solo unless MGM, Rare, Nintendo, and Activision wants to be super cool and let us give away the game for free through steam haha.

Exactly. They could be that cool if we weren't screwing up their business for making a 007 mod better than the commercial games... Haha you devs are mean SOB's :P ;D
