yeah, I originally bought Half-Life just for Goldeneye: Source but I also wanted it for half life 2 as well. I just never imagined half-life 2 to be as good as it was...then i got orange box...then I got garrys mod...then COD4..audiosurf...UT3...oh the list goes on. If VALVe didn't make steam...I don't think I would be as much of a gamer as I am today. :) It just made me worse then I was back in the days of duke nukum and doom and from then on after. :)

Huh. Guess a lot of us are in the same boat.
I also bought the Orange Box after seeing a YouTube video of someone surviving the drop from the cradle.

Now I have Half-Life ² and its episodes, TF2 and Portal. (Including the infinite MODs and maps for each.)
Course, I would have bought it eventually, but GE:S definitely sped that up. :)

Orange Box for the PC is just a compilation of games. Source SDK Base - Orange Box is a free program (I think) that is in the tools section.

This is the most bullshit day ever, i have 4200mb left on my download limit and that includes uploads, i dont have my counterstike source disk to install and my usage doesnt reset till the end of the month, looks like i cant play the BETA 3 untill then ffs

No because im in a new state and i left my counterstike disk back home, i might just have to go out and buy counterstrike again and then just download the GES files, i tried to change my quota from 25GB to 60GB but the mongrels charge 15cents per MB and if i go over i know im going to get a massive bill. Bloody TELSTA BIGPOND!

I think its worth it to buy CS:S from a shop, be what 20$? worth it imo and our release for GE:S will only be moderately over 500MB so just cool it with downloads elsewhere and you're GOLD :) as we are
