When multiplayer is completely finished, just about everything that is required for a single player campaign mode will be at their disposal, and will just need assembling.

Besides, not everyone cares for single player mission storyline, but everyone likes shooting the shit out of people. ;)
This way, interest it built up.

Indeed. Best to have a finished multiplayer product before starting, or even contemplating a Single Player mode.

I actually have Dial-up, so I'm usually playing Single player mods till I take my tower over to a friends house, then we play multiplayer.

If anything, what about a Single player beta of the Facility?

VC:
It won't be much tougher to make the whole 1P game than to make a 1P demo stage.  Once you have that much, it's just a matter of grinding out the other maps and adding a few map-specific things.
