That's one of the reasons I keep my desktop without shortcuts. No more random documents lying around there. Put it all in My Documents and the rest goes elsewhere.

I have subfolders for just about everything. Only programs and certain folders appear on my desktop.
Yet a lot of the time, saves images or videos often end up in their main folders and it becomes a mess...

Tha's the problem. I also have a lot of subfolders. I always keep things outside my desktop; I like to see my background to it's full extent.

lol yeah i have the same problem as well... i'll get a nice clean desktop(usually means i'm done with my current projects) then i'll start a new project and bam i'll either have 10 html pages up, or 20.bmp's for a cs 1.6 model lol thats why i keep changing my desktop lol because i like to use w/e hides my clutter.
