They fixed hitboxes in 1.1h, you could play that. And they're rewriting the code so the bugs are pretty much bound to be different in the next release.

hit reg is a little bit better in 1.1h, but far away from being perfect.

yeah...hit registration pretty much doesn't exist in 1.1h...you can shoot somebody 3 rounds of a shotgun and then they shoot you 10 shots with a zmg and your dead...GREAT! :D

That is the point, we are trying to steer clear of any issues with image and shit. We took elements of Brosan and made a face that was both Bond like and Brosan and melded them together.

umm isnt the point of goldeneye... a REMAKE? therefore you should make it look like brosnan.... thats just my opinion... but a remake is a remake... also..

starting from scratch seems a bit ambitious... i think the players would rather have a finished version than little pieces every once and a while. you were going well with what you had before. i dont see why you needed to start over...

yea that would be great, accept that each individual actor would be capable of coming after us and giving us a CnD so just to steer clear of any more hot water, we chose to have a similar likeness rather than to make the people dead on. also we aren't doing a dead on clone as a remake, theres quiet a few things with levels, and a lot of the art work thats been shifted.  i like to use the example of what we are doing as the old VW bug and the new VW beetle, ya you can see its the same styling of the car, but its a totally newly updated version.. theres going to be changes but you'll still love it just the same.

the starting fro scratch thing isn't entirely oh crap we are scraping the whole thing. its that we are carrying things over to the EP2 engine, and clearing out all the cobwebs from the previous build. which yes takes quite a bit of time, but is something that is necessary. so no its not starting over.

Porting over to the ep2 based engine for source requires us to do a lot of reworking and we have to redo a lot of things in order to get the mod ready to release, basically we are starting the mod from scratch but we have all our assets from the previous version so art side is ready just waiting on code and transferring over the rest of the models

so then..how is code side going? Is it even playable yet? I know Anthony wrote something about the PP7 and a map being in and working fine...but I haven't seen any other CODE side blogs recently.

The rather inactive nature of things is starting to get annoying...

It's been almost 3 months since this topic was started, any news on progress?
What kind of things do you got in, what things do you not?
Is it anywhere close to what was in 1.1h or more? In how many months approximately will it be until another release? (this is not the same as asking for a release date, this is just an approximation).
What else is there planned?
Are you sticking to the periodic release plan? Do you plan on releasing something really soon to help speed along the progress, by allowing people to post bug reports and give suggestions?
Is there any delays right now?
Personal Life really hindering progress?

I want to know these things, being in the dark for so long gets to me.

One programmer is out to sea, the other one disappeared.  My job and real life prevent me from working on the mod now, and most of the art team are in the same situation.  So right now the project is on hold.  Once KM gets back, we'll see what happens.
