GES Update: March 2008
EduCatOR:
I could care less if the dev team supports it or not. It's mainly members of the community that answer questions about it, if people even have them. I still see people playing 1.0 while a majority of the community is playing 1.1h...so I think if they made a small announcement about it I think it would get a good amount of attention. They could even put a nice little disclaimer that says that they don't support it and to check with the community if problems were to arise. Even since I made the post in the General Goldeneye board about 1.1h, I've seen a lot of new faces, and there has been some good games going on. Otherwise I feel like I have to bump my topic so that new people to the mod see and understand it. Bottom line is the game is stable and fun to play, and I just think there should be something mentioned about it. It's easy to get the word out for this, and then there can be a nice player surge brought to the community...then when the dev team releases, there won't be such a "rush" to let everyone know about it. The players will already be there. Just a small, tiny block on the main page would be fine...nothing huge. (or whatever you guys want of course) Personally, I'd like to see the day where I can kill the 1.0 and replace it with another gamemode in 1.1h.

I'll be the first happy to have a so working, but I prefer to see him working on the sweet BETA 3. This is a thread about BETA 3!

So when you guys said in the update that every month or around that will be another installment, you said the first one is going to take a while because you have to build the code up first..so how long do you think extra do we have to wait. Like a month and half? Maybe this is too early to ask :)
Konrad Beerbaum:
Not really sure, to be honest. We just aren't sure how long it is going to take. As soon as we have a stable build that has enough features to be playable, we'll release it. You'll be able to get an idea from the programmer and dev blogs on how things are going. The ep3 build is already playable, we've got one map in the final stages of bug testing, and the pp7 in. KM and Anthony are updating the build every few days, so I'm optimistic. Bugs and real life can have big effects though, so theres no way to give a good estimate until things get farther along.

coding feels like it's going kickass fast right now. I'm jazzed
