I just wanted to reiterate to the new folks that they should grab the 1.1h patch. We've had more and more people playing this lately, and it really is good stuff, so I encourage newcomers to the mod to download the 1.1h GE:S patch. It would be cool if a post like this was sticky'd until beta 1.5 comes out, I think a lot more people will end up seeing/downloading/playing it.

yeah, even though it isn't supported by the dev team, it should be posted on the front page and iterated that they don't support it, but it drastically helps gameplay. Since it doesn't even affect any of the core files from beta 1, I don't see why they shouldn't until beta 1.5 comes out :)

I just wanted to say I've seen a lot of new faces lately playing the 1.1h server. I played last night and everyone was having a blast. We've been getting some good games in the last few weeks, and I think it's only going to get better from here on out. Just the way players were having fun and "reliving old memories" makes this mod reaks of success. Big round of applause as usual to the dev team who continues to push this mod forward. I'd also like to thank Doc for so kindly teaching me the ways when running servers, I enjoy running them very much....and also lodle for kindly making the game playable in it's original fashion. I've updated my GE:S servers page and have include all the latest servers for 1.1h and 1.0 - you can visit that by going to http://www.thegravelpit.info/servers.html. I may be the only that uses it, but I like to see everything all at once if I'm browsing the web...who knows, maybe someone else will too. (I've added the CTU server as well, hoping it becomes another permanent server with a different style of play)

There still seems to be a group of people that play 1.0...but it seems most people are starting to get the drift that there is a patch available. I've added american patch mirrors to my first post and will add european mirrors if anyone has them. (Doc?) Download the 1.1h patch if you haven't already!
