So im having a lan party tonight and one of my friends has steam but only has it for bioshock. I wanted to play GE source with them all so i was thinking would this work. If he downloaded the half life 2 demo and then downloaded ge source would he be able to play it?

The HL2 demo doesn't come with the Source SDK Base unfortunately. So he'll be unable to play GE:S. Tell him to buy HL2DM, it's only 10$.

God that blows. errm yh ill probs buy it. I have source sdk base is there anyway he can have it. Ive heard about gifts.

You can even buy episode one ($10 too) and you have a SP game + HL2DM :O
