Who was "Nicholas Bishop"?

I know briefly what happened, and that he was a great deal to the team, but please dont ban me for asking this question, but.....

Who is Nick Bishop, and wht happened to him?

7SEALS:
I believe he was the head man of the GES mod, and committed suicide. The DEV team has since been making the GES releases in memory of him.

Blindside:
But, why did he........ya know? Some one told me he had money issues, or something like that, not sure.

I would hope that you won't get banned for asking that question. That would be sad. I don't really know what happened/who he really was either. I am intrigued....
