i am new to this game, but have played alot of dm games (quake + ut etc).
one thing i always found helpful in learning the quirks of a new game is watching good players and learn dif. playing styles and tricks.
so my question is this, are there any players out there who i should "watch out for", or maybe latch on to and spectate when they play?
And has there been/are there any sort of tournaments or competitions for this game yet(and i dont mean big ones but like community organized)?

I hold quite the reputation for doing hilarious things like 26 frags in my first inning on a server, cutting through hordes with golden gun, and wrecking in License to Kill with throwing knives.

But I haven't played as a player in over a year. Waiting on the big 2.0.

I don't know if Unknown Pain is still around, but he's in the same pwning clasification as I, though he has a demerit for extreme camping lameness on Caves.

Best from aus, prob not but yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

The WNX boys are the best in GE:S (aside from viash in his time) because they are good european stock and active as hell in terms of this mod

Again, not really a surprise here. Why we don't cut the crap and you tell us what your huge problem with WN is. That would save us all the trouble of having to read any more of your useless and senseless posts that do nothing but make yourself look like an idiot. You say you haven't played as a player in over a year, so how in the world can you even comment on WN's actions in game? It seems that every time someone has a real question or thread going, you just have to make some side of the mouth remark. Frankly, I'm pretty damn tired of seeing it happen, so I figure that if someone calls you out on it, maybe you will stop (though I highly doubt it).
Furthermore, once you tell us what your problem is, we might even try to accommodate you and make it better.

Probably because you're so pissy. Relax, it's just what Viashino does.

As for good players, keep an eye out for clans. WNx is really active at the moment, and harbors a bunch of excellent players. The two other major clans are also good, they're just not around at the moment mostly due to bugs. Play on Doc.No's server, and you'll eventually come across some good players.

Oh, and WNxBIGBIRD is a fucking rape machine.

I'm pretty good too, but I can't play due to comp aids

JS doesn't play GE:S and isn't really a clan anymore and LTK doesn't exist anymore.

I don't think there are any clans that play GE:S besides WNx.

There are a few miss-matched no name clans that I know of. Cheese.B is one, there are only about 3 members or so that I know of.

We need to get those clans affiliations going. Getting some clans would eventually result in stronger social linkage and more players on the servers, more often. I'd be willing to start a clan with canadians players, and start to get some rivalries around here!

the clan's will most likely come back (like JS, cause..I'm a member of that clan) when the next update is released, along with the old fanbase that claimed ges for dead, or just outdated and old, idk why.

Sounds like a good idea, hell I'd even join your Canadian clan (from Ontario) but I'm in WN and my dedication for it is too strong. Good luck to you though.

The Cheddar Bunnies has gotten a bit bigger since then (9 members), and we like to keep a small size because we like to only ahave the best players, and each usually has a specific talent that benefits the group (Ex: Someone is the mapper, one runs the servers, somebody writes the scripts, etc.) and has to go through an extensive interview process before they can join. All of our members play and appreciate GES, and we will always stick by it. You can usually find at least one of us on every night on whatever server is currently populated.
