It would be very distracting if it were, the way it will ultimately fly around every time you turn since your line of aim is not fixed on your line of view in Goldeneye.

@ orginal version the hand got a crosshair 2 :P

It wasn't a second form of the crosshair. There was only one style.

Seriously, one of the best aspect of goldeneye is this unvisible crosshair. A game with a visible crosshair cant be called goldeneye.
